V.P. of Busines Development of GLU visits MCU Taipei campus...

V.P. of Busines Development of GLU visits MCU Taipei campus... Gana Purevjav, Vice President of Business Development of GLU has paid a visit to MCU Taipei campus to see GLU students under “2+2 Joint degree program” currently studying at MCU. There are currently 6 students at Taipei campus, MCU, Taiwan. Ms. Purevjav also discussed Dr. Maria Tu and Dr. Nathan Liu, and Ms. Ivy Lin about possibility to exchange faculty members between GLU and MCU.

Our directors are visiting at Taiwan

Mr. Otgonbat Barkhuu, Founder and President of Global Leadership University and Mr. Munkh-Ochir, Executive Director of Global Leadership Foundation headed to Taiwan on February 24, 2009.

 

Purpose of their trip is to see how GLU students studying at the MCU within the Student Exchange Program, visit a campus of the MCU, and meet its officials. They will also make a video in interviewing MCU officials and the exchange students to advertise the MCU. When they return they will broadcast their prepared interview to Mongolian public by TV channels back home in Mongolia.

Our selected students went to Ming Chuan University

GLU has selected two outstanding students Dolgorsuren Sutbileg and Munkhjargal Battumur to the Meng Chuan University in Taiwan upon Exchange Study Program. Dolgorsuren gathered highest scores among her schoolmates in contributing her efforts her community. Munkhjargal became an outstanding student who achieved academic excellence.

 

They have just left for Taiwan to study for one semester at Ming Chuan University and will return in September and continue studying at the GLU. During their study, the MCU waives their tuition fees and housing expenses respectively according to the agreement.

“Honors Program-Explorer” program successfully held

University administration organizes such program every quarter involving best students in academics and best students in social participation. We have organized “Honors program-Explorer” between February 19-20, 2009 at GLU successfully. Honors students have read book called “Looking at economy in simple way” and debate about subjects such as how to grow economy, what Government’s role to grow economy. As a result, student came up in ideas how Mongolian Government can grow its economy during depreciation.

Goal of the Project

 

  • To recycle used English books to make them for reuse
  • To expand knowledge of students by providing books
  • To increase resource of library of Global Leadership University
  • To educate students by supplying books.

 

Who will organize the Project

 

  • Selected Candidates of “Global Leader-4” TV contest program will organize the first which will be held Jan-Apr, 2009          (Please see attached Global Leader-4 TV contest program)
  • GLU students will run the following phases.

Duration of the project
The initial phase of the project will be held February 12-18, 2009.

Who can supply to the Project

  • Anyone who want to donate his/her English books
  • American citizens who want to donate its books
  • Mongolians who studied/lived in overseas who want to donate its books

  • Fictional
  • Scientific
  • Business and economics

 

Process of collecting the used books

 

  • GLU and US Embassy will place announcement about the project on their respective internet and send the announcement through their network.
  • GLU will broadcast pre-commercials about the book project
  • GLU will interview the project process and make TV program.
  • GLU will produce TV commercial about importance of the project to public through TV, Radio and website etc.
